Most people who have started noticing fine lines or wrinkles probably have searched for wrinkle relaxer injections near me, Botox the triangle, or Botox in Raleigh. At Triangle Injector & Wellness, we believe that understanding your options and figuring out which neurotoxin is right for you helps you make confident decisions about your care. As a mobile concierge aesthetic practice serving Raleigh, Durham, Fayetteville, and surrounding communities, we bring expert wrinkle relaxer treatments directly to you.

Currently on the market there are several different types of neurotoxins such as Botox, Jeuveau, Dysport, Xeomin, and Daxxify. Although Botox is the most well-known wrinkle relaxer, it just may not be the best product for you.

What is a Wrinkle Relaxer?

A wrinkle relaxer is an injectable medication that relaxes targeted muscles in your face that are responsible for creating wrinkles. The goal is not to eliminate expressions but to soften the repetitive muscle movement to reduce the appearance of those fine lines and wrinkles.

  • Frown lines or “11’s”

  • Crows Feet

  • Downturned corners of the mouth

  • Neckbands

  • Lip Flip

Different Types of Wrinkle Relaxers

When a client schedules a visit for mobile botox or is searching for botox near me, they are actually looking for a wrinkle relaxer treatment in general.  While OnabotulinumtoxinA (Botox) has become almost synonymous with neurotoxin injectables, it is worth noting that there are many different types of wrinkle relaxers you may want to consider.

Botox - OnabotulinumtoxinA, is the most recognized wrinkle relaxer and has been on the market for nearly 20 years. Botox is FDA approved for both cosmetic and therapeutic (medical) uses.

Jeuveau - PrabotulinumtoxinA or “Newtox”, was developed specifically for aesthetic treatments. It offers comparable results to Botox with similar efficacy and duration with a “softer” feel. Many patients begin noticing results within a few days, as early as 2 days, with full results developing over two weeks.

Dysport - AbobotulinumtoxinA, works similarly to Botox & Jeuveau but tends to spread more after injection making it best for use around the eyes (crows feet) and forehead.

Daxxify - DaxibotulinumtoxinA, is one of the newest FDA approved wrinkle relaxers on the market. It uses a peptide formulation versus albumin (used in all other products) to stabilize the product. One of Daxxify’s biggest marketing campaigns is that it has the potential to last longer than all other products. Although individual outcomes can vary, results are shown to last six months or longer, compared to other products.

Xeomin - IncobotulinumtoxinA or “Naked Tox” or “Natural Botox”, contains only the active neurotoxin without accessory proteins. I refer to its action like an instant release pill versus a long lasting pill when compared to Botox. This may be a good option in individuals who have concerns for antibody resistance to Botox over time.

Which Wrinkle Relaxer Is Best?

The truth is that there isn’t a “BEST” product. The best wrinkle relaxer depends on YOU. It depends on each individual's unique facial anatomy, muscle strength, treatment goals, previous experience and desired look.

At Triangle Injector & Wellness, each client gets a FREE consultation with our nurse injector, so she can perform a full facial evaluation before doing any treatments. During this consultation, the nurse injector will assess your unique features, treatment goals, desired looks, and come up with a customized treatment plan for you.
